The Legacy of Lou’s Diner

February 4, 2008

Shortly after Champion Valiant was “born” into Second Life, he had the good fortune to stumble upon a place called “Lou’s Diner”.  It had a retro 1950’s atmosphere, with black and white checkered floor, red vinyl booths and stools, a jukebox playing fifties hits, and a kitty cat clock on the wall.  It also had lovely “waitresses” dressed in poodle skirts and a friendly owner who would double as a soda jerk behind the counter.

There was no live music or DJ, just happy tunes on the radio and fun times dancing, chatting, and laughing hysterically.  From the moment he walked into the place, Champion was hooked.  No longer did the virtual world seem like an endless, vast wasteland.  Champion had found a home in cyberspace.

Sadly, Lou’s Diner is no more.  But it’s legacy lives on in Diegoland.  Like Lou’s, Diegoland has a nostalgic atmosphere, a friendly staff, dancing, and great music.  It also has live concerts and DJ’s, shopping, exploring, special events, festivals, romance, and some very funny things happen there, too.  Now everyone can experience the joy of being a member of the Diegoland family.  All you need to do is show up and let yourself be a part of the fun.  And if by chance you happen to run into Lou sometime, please tell him Champion says, “Thanks for the good times!”.
